What are the requirements for ski slope lighting?
The photometric requirements depend on the lighting class.
The DIN 12193 standard "Light and lighting - Sports facility lighting" specifies precisely what requirements a floodlighting system for ski slopes must meet. Orientation to the standard is also a prerequisite for the payment of subsidies. The graphic shows excerpts from the standard applied to floodlighting systems for ski slopes:
The calculation grid specifies the arrangement of calculation and measurement points and their number in each direction of the reference surface of the main surface. The calculation grid is also used to check compliance with the set requirements for a new LED lighting system.
